But what about the pleasure of playing? What about the simple satisfaction of doing our work and doing it well? What about the fun of creating something new, wonderful, suitable? There is a phrase I always use when working with new teams at our first retrospectives: We are here to seek solutions, not guilty ones. This may seem a simple phrase, but I have seen this phrase to operate some of the most incredible miracles in meetings and teams. I remember one of my first retrospectives as a Scrum master. I was quite worried because one of the members of the team had not a computer science education and was producing bad quality code. I spent the whole day thinking a way to bring up the subject...
